The Recurrent Education Promotion Department of the Hokkaido Institute for the Advancement of Graduate Education will hold a public symposium on December 14th entitled "Creating a Co-existent City Where Everyone is Connected: A Vision of the Future Created by Theater Education."

Sapporo City is considering the enactment of an ordinance aimed at creating a symbiotic city where everyone can connect with each other. Next year, the Hokkaido University Recurrent Education Promotion Department plans to implement a re-learning program for working adults with the aim of cultivating problem-solving leaders who can realize symbiotic city creation. In this program, after taking on-demand lectures, participants will be divided into small groups to create a "play."

We have invited writer and director Kokami Shoji to this symposium. Kokami will talk about the use of imagination to understand the values of others and the efforts of theater to cultivate communication skills. I-Ward Co., Ltd. CEO Toshiyasu Okuyama will provide information as a panelist entitled "Companies are a microcosm of society."

Would you like to join us in thinking about the vision of the future inclusive society that theater can create?
