The National Ainu Museum and the Hokkaido University Center for Ainu and Indigenous Studies will hold a symposium entitled "The Present State of New Zealand Museum Te Papa Tongarewa" on October 26th.

The speakers at this event will have visited the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa (Te Papa), viewed the exhibits, and interviewed the staff. Based on what they learned there, they will report on the current state of the museum. This symposium aims to help people think about the relationship between indigenous peoples and museums.
