"SDGs QUEST Mirai Koshien," a competition in which high school students work in teams to come up with action ideas to solve social issues, will be held again in 2024. Entries for the Hokkaido tournament of "SDGs QUEST Mirai Koshien" will be accepted until December 20th.

"SDGs QUEST Mirai Koshien" is a competition where high school students form teams, proactively explore the SDGs, and create, present, and award various action ideas. It has been held since 2019, and this is the sixth time it has been held. In each area, partnerships are formed through collaboration between local governments, educational institutions, local media, companies, and organizations in the public and private sectors. The Hokkaido tournament is run by the "SDGs QUEST Mirai Koshien Hokkaido Tournament Executive Committee," and Hokkaido University Presidential Special Advisor and Professor Emeritus Makoto Demura serves as the executive committee chairman.

Climate change, energy, biodiversity, gender, water... How can we solve the various problems facing the earth and human society? SDGs QUEST Mirai Koshien is a contest where high school students come up with and present ideas for "SDGs actions" that will provide solutions. We will encourage more people to take action, reward ideas based on new and fun ideas, and support action.
