The City of Sapporo is recruiting youth facilitators for the 2024 Sapporo Climate Change Town Meeting.

Sapporo City aims to become a "zero carbon city" by 2050, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the city to virtually zero. The city is promoting climate change countermeasures and has been selected by the government as a "SDGs Future City," taking proactive steps toward achieving the SDGs by 2030.

As part of this initiative, we have been holding the Sapporo Climate Change Town Meeting, an interactive program for learning, thinking, and acting, since FY2023. In FY2024, we plan to hold a total of eight meetings between October and February. In advance of this, we are recruiting youth facilitators to support the Sapporo Climate Change Town Meeting and will be holding a youth facilitator training course.
