The Hokkaido University Research Faculty of Agriculture will hold a public "Nitobe Inazo Memorial Lecture" on September 28th as part of Homecoming Day 2024, a countdown event to the 150th anniversary of the founding of Hokkaido University.

At this event, Vice President Kazutoshi Itobe will take the stage to talk about Inazo Nitobe, a graduate of the second class of Sapporo Agricultural College and one of modern Japan's most international figures, and his masterpiece, "Bushido." He will also introduce the specific initiatives of the Nitobe College, a special educational program at Hokkaido University that was established to carry on Inazo Nitobe's spirit.
