The Graduate Research Faculty of Agriculture at Hokkaido University opened the "Regional Revitalization System Design Laboratory" in April 2024. On August 26th, the opening ceremony for this laboratory was held at the Hokkaido Wine Education and Research Center.

The "Regional Revitalization System Design Laboratory" is a hometown tax donation course that utilizes the "University Support Project" that was launched in 2022 as part of the Sapporo City hometown tax donation system. In October 2024, "Special Lectures on Agricultural Research II (General Theory of Regional Revitalization Studies)" is scheduled to be held, and an opening ceremony was held to mark the full launch of the laboratory.
