The Hokkaido University Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is pleased to announce that it has announced the selection of recipients for the 2024 "Joint Research Grant for Cultivating Female Researchers as Leaders."

FY2024 "Joint Research Grant for Fostering Female Research Leaders"
The grant aims to improve the research capabilities and leadership skills of female researchers, as well as to expand research networks, and will provide research grant funding to female researchers who are planning excellent collaborative research projects that they will promote as leaders. Nine applications were received for this grant, and four research themes were selected.

  • Ultrastructural analysis of the formation process of novel endosomes (Tomoko Kamazaki, Specially Appointed Assistant Professor Faculty of Medicine)
  • Chemical evolutionary conditions of phospholipids leading to the birth of life in terrestrial environments on the early Earth (Ayako Shinozaki, Assistant Faculty of Science)
  • A study on the influence of university students' creative selves on their adaptation to student life (Yoshiko Kosaka, Lecturer, Student Counseling Center)
  • Research on improving the efficiency of high-temperature CO2 heat pump systems and optimizing gas coolers (Assistant Professor Liu Hongzhi Faculty of Engineering)
