The Hokkaido University Regional Fisheries Co-Creation Center will be conducting the "Entrepreneurship Development Seminar" and "Fisheries Science Seminar" as part of the 2024 "CREEN Human Resource Development Curriculum" from September to December.
The CREEN Human Resource Development Curriculum is a curriculum implemented by Hokkaido University with the cooperation of Future University Hakodate, Hakodate University, and Hakodate National College of Technology, with the aim of developing human resources who will play an active role in research, technology development, product development, quality control, policy formulation, planning, and business strategy in the fisheries industry, including aquaculture. In the "Entrepreneur Development Seminar," participants will understand the characteristics and challenges of local industries, as well as learn the basics of entrepreneurship and strategy. In the "Fisheries Science Seminar," participants will visit and experience the kelp and salmon fisheries industry, which is gaining attention in the Hakodate area and elsewhere, and will attend lectures by instructors active in the industry.
