The Hokkaido Branch of the Chemical Society of Japan will hold a lecture entitled "What science can do for life in the future" on September 2nd, co-hosted by Faculty of Science and School of Science of Hokkaido University.

The event will begin with a talk by Mamoru Mohri, followed by further discussions by two guests from Institute for Catalysis, Shin Fukuda and Hiromi Kurokawa, both of whom are graduates of Hokkaido University but involved in science and technology from different perspectives. The event will be a forum for discussion among the participating students, researchers, and staff as participants who contribute to society.

2030 is the deadline for achieving the SDGs set by the United Nations. The development of science and technology plays an essential role in solving global issues. Why don't we all take science and technology as our own issue and think together about what science can do for the lives that will lead to the future?
