The Hokkaido University Faculty of Humanities and Human Sciences Northern Studies and Education Center, the Polish Information and Cultural Center, and the Hokkaido Slavic-Eurasian Research Center will co-host a film screening and lecture related to the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising on August 9th.

What did the Warsaw Uprising mean to the Polish people? Now that we have reached the 80th anniversary of the uprising, I would like to think about the meaning of fighting and peace.
