Hokkaido University's School of Fisheries Sciences will be holding an open lecture series, "The Science of the Ocean!" from October to November.

Hokkaido University's School of Fisheries Sciences is engaged in education and research in "general science (biology, chemistry, physics, engineering) set in the sea, rivers, and lakes." This open lecture will introduce the diverse research content being conducted at Hokkaido School of Fisheries Sciences. This year, with the keyword "Arctic Ocean," we will hold five lectures on the training and investigation that the training ship Oshoro Maru visited the Arctic Ocean and the secrets of the Arctic Ocean. In addition, since the Fisheries Science Future Human Resources Center (a new facility that combines a museum and a library) is scheduled to open on the Hakodate campus in October 2024, the face-to-face lectures will be held at the Fisheries Science Future Human Resources Center. (*Depending on the situation, the lectures will be held in the large lecture hall of the lecture building as usual.) You can take all five lectures, or just the ones that interest you. Please enjoy the charm of Hokkaido University's School of Fisheries Sciences.
