The Earthquake and Volcano Research Observation Center, Faculty of Science Hokkaido University, will hold the 2024 Public Lecture: Earthquakes and Disaster Prevention in Hokkaido on June 8th and June 22nd.

The 2024 open lecture "Earthquakes and Disaster Prevention in Hokkaido" will be a two-day, five-part lecture series that will provide information on disaster prevention in the region. It will cover a wide range of topics, including basic knowledge about earthquakes and tsunamis, disaster prevention measures for earthquakes and tsunamis, how to use disaster information, and how to respond after a disaster occurs.
