Hokkaido University the Research Faculty of Media and Communication and the Center for Language Learning will hold the 2024 public lecture "Thinking about Foreign Language Learning (2)" on July 20th.

Following on from the previous course, "Thinking about learning foreign languages (held in December 2023)," this course will broadly reconsider "foreign language learning," which is often focused on "efficient acquisition of foreign language skills," and focus on the important processes and aspects of foreign language learning, as well as the aspects that enrich the thoughts and emotions brought about by learning a foreign language. Each instructor, who teaches a different foreign language, will focus on issues common to "learning a foreign language." We hope that this will be an opportunity to reconsider the significance and enjoyment of learning a foreign language, and will encourage people to start or continue learning a foreign language.
