The Hokkaido University Office for the Promotion of International Collaboration and Slavic-Eurasian Research Center will jointly host a special lecture entitled "Australia-Japan cooperation in the Indo Pacific – Security, climate/energy, education, science and technology" on 3 June.

The Australian Ambassador to Japan, Justin Hayhurst, will speak about the current Australia-Japan cooperation, including in the Indo-Pacific region, and the opportunities and challenges in an ever-changing world. Professor Akihiro Iwashita Slavic-Eurasian Research Center will also speak about the Australia-Japan alliance from a Japanese perspective. There will be no Japanese interpretation.
