The National University Corporation Marine and Lake Biological Laboratory Directors' Conference will hold "Open Marine and Lake Biological Laboratory Training" for university and graduate students nationwide at national university laboratories throughout Japan. The Akkeshi Marine Laboratory and Muroran Marine Laboratory Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere, Hokkaido University, have been certified as "International Joint Use Centers for Integrated Education of Marine Biology and Ecosystems in Cold Current Regions" by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology from 2022, and will hold open marine training at each of the two laboratories from June to March of 2024.
