The Hokkaido University Center for Data-Driven Interdisciplinary Research (D-RED) held an opening ceremony for the D-RED building on April 19th.

Launched in July 2022, D-RED is an organization that combines "diverse research fields" and "data-driven science" to simultaneously promote research and social implementation and work to solve local issues. We identify cutting-edge fusion research and the highly skilled talent who are active in it, conduct joint research in "units" through industry-academia collaboration, and provide support to quickly connect the results to society.

The D-RED building, which had been undergoing renovation work, was completed at the end of March 2024. An opening ceremony was held to mark this milestone in promoting cutting-edge interdisciplinary research and developing it into social implementation.
