The East Asia Media Studies Center, attached to the Graduate Research Faculty of Media and Communication Hokkaido University, will hold an event entitled "Understanding the Social Situation in Myanmar through the Film 'Broken Dream'" on April 28th.

We will be screening "Broken Dreams," an omnibus film of nine stories compiled by eight young Myanmar writers. After the screening, there will be a talk by the Myanmar Youth association Hokkaido (MYAH), a Myanmar group that has been active in Hokkaido since the coup, about the film, the current state of Myanmar, and the democratization movement in Hokkaido.
