President Kiyohiro Houkin, a medical doctor and neurosurgeon, has started a new project called ``The President's Adventures in Knowledge-Land,'' in which he visits fascinating researchers at Hokkaido University. Vol.1 ``Five Values of Dinosaur Research'' has been published.

We had a conversation with Professor Yoshitsugu Kobayashi, also known as "Dinosaur Kobayashi." Professor Kobayashi spearheaded the excavation and research of a new species of dinosaur, Kamuisaurus japonicus, discovered in Mukawa Town, Hokkaido. We talked about the appeal of Hokkaido University's research environment, which has field research as its strength, and future prospects for utilizing the museum.
