Our University's Center for Advanced Tourism Studies will hold a seminar on January 26th titled ``Urban Development Seminar on Health and Tourism: Toward a City that Realizes Well-Being: The Possibilities of Urban Trails in Sapporo.''

This seminar is going to be held to further utilize the Sapporo Round Walk (SRW), which opened in June 2023 and is a 140km walk around the city of Sapporo, with the aim of creating "walking, staying and interacting tourism" in Sapporo. A special talk by Mr. Takahashi, an associate professor at the Professional College of Arts and Tourism, who is also a leading expert on promoting health tourism in Japan, will be given. Then a panel discussion will be held with people active in various fields.
